Houston Restaurant Weeks is back! Thanks to the participating restaurants, it’s one of the best excuses all year for Houston residents to get out of a typical routine, gather with their friends and neighbors, and discover the incredible food scene that Houston offers.
This year’s event runs August 1 through September 7, 2026 — 38 days of specially priced menus at nearly 400 restaurants across Greater Houston. You get a great deal on a delicious dining experience, and a portion of every purchase goes straight to the Houston Food Bank, America’s largest food bank. It’s the kind of win-win that fits perfectly with what we believe at KRJ: Strong communities are built when neighbors show up for each other.
After all, these local businesses are a big part of what makes Houston the special place it is.
What Is Houston Restaurant Week, Exactly?
Founded 23 years ago by the late Cleverley Stone under the motto “Dine Out & Do Good,” Houston Restaurant Weeks has raised more than $23 million for the Houston Food Bank, helping provide the equivalent of more than 70 million meals. Participating restaurants offer multi-course, prix fixe menus at set price points:
- Brunch: $25
- Lunch: $25
- Dinner: $39 or $55
For each menu sold, participating restaurants make a donation back to the Cleverley Stone Foundation, which in turn supports the Houston Food Bank at no extra cost to you. You simply enjoy your meal, and generosity happens automatically in the background.
A Few Menus and Deals to Try
With hundreds of restaurants on the list, there’s something for every neighborhood and every craving. A few examples of what’s on the menu this year:
- Cafe Brasil — This longtime Montrose favorite is offering a $39 three-course dinner featuring starters like blistered shishito peppers or hummus and flatbread, entrees such as Texas wagyu bavette steak or grilled half chicken, and desserts including crème brûlée or tres leches.
- Doko — For contemporary Japanese fare, Doko is serving both a $25 lunch and $55 dinner. The three-course lunch includes a starter, a maki roll, and a donburi, with choices like edamame or sunomono to begin, followed by signature rolls and entrées such as chirashi don or gyudon.
- Tourao Brazilian Churrasqueria, Burger-Chan, and dozens of new 2025-2026 openings are also joining this year’s lineup — from all-you-can-eat rodizio-style spreads to build-your-own burger menus — alongside longtime staples like Brennan’s of Houston, Hugo’s, Xochi, Rainbow Lodge, and Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille.
Whether you’re craving Tex-Mex, sushi, Brazilian steakhouse fare, or a neighborhood Italian spot, chances are that something you love is on the list.

Make It a Community Event
Houston Restaurant Weeks is an invitation to slow down, explore, and connect. Here are a few fun ways to make the most of it with your neighbors, friends, or family:
- Plan a neighborhood food crawl. Pick a Houston-area district you haven’t spent much time in — the East End, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, or Galveston — and turn it into an afternoon adventure with friends.
- Set a “new cuisine” goal. Challenge your family or your HOA social group to try a cuisine none of you have had before, whether that’s Brazilian churrasco, contemporary Japanese, or Caribbean jerk.
- Organize a group dinner with your community. These restaurant weeks are a great excuse to bring together book clubs, walking groups, or committee members for a low-pressure night out that supports a great cause.
- Prioritize restaurants that give back. Many participating restaurants are small, local, and family-owned — supporting them during Restaurant Week helps sustain the businesses that make our neighborhoods vibrant year-round.
Why This Matters to KRJ
At KRJ, we believe community is built one shared experience at a time — and Houston Restaurant Weeks is a perfect opportunity to bring neighbors together around something everyone can appreciate: good food and a good cause. Every prix fixe meal purchased this August and September helps stock the shelves of the Houston Food Bank at a time when the need in our region is greater than ever.
So grab a few neighbors, pick a new spot from the list, and make this year’s Houston Restaurant Week about more than just a great meal — make it about strengthening the community we all call home.
